When Super Glue Attacks

Tammy learns the hard way about the chemical reaction that happens between super glue, and human skin.
Back in the 80s glue on nails was the latest fashion faux pas. Being a teen I thought I was so cool with my nails. My friends and I ran to the mall to buy some new nails and some super glue. I didn't have scissors to bite the cap off of the glue so I used my teeth. What happened was that the glue went all over my lips! I pursed my lips in disgust but in doing so I now glued my lips together.
Yes that is right. I glued my lips shut. Mall security called the EMTS who then rushed me to the hospital. At the hospital they had to take a razor sort of long knife and gently with a solution pry my lips open.
Morale of the story: Super glue plus skin is bad. Super Glue plus lips is even worse. Once in high school I did once see super glue + butt checks + ceramic toilet seat. Glad that wasn't my tale to tell.

Indeed. I managed to spend a few hours with two fingers acting as one last fall after a super glue mishap.
