Holiday Birthdays
May 27th, 2010- Anonymous
From the anonymous bin:
I was born on Valentine's Day. Given that my birthday was a holiday, I naturally assumed that everyone else was born on a holiday.
Whenever I met someone I would ask them what holiday their birthday was on and I would be genuinely confused when they told me some random day that wasn't a holiday. I believed that people were only born on a legitimate holiday like Halloween or Christmas.
Now my six year old tries to keep track of upcoming holidays throughout they year (because holiday=candy) and he always refers to his birthday as a holiday. Regardless of the fact that others across the nation do not celebrate on that day.

My birthday is over Memorial Day weekend (today!!!) and my brother's is Christmas Eve so I always thought the same thing! Until 5th grade when I was corrected by my teacher when she heard me say "You know we don't have school on Monday because it is MY birthday!"
My birthday is on Halloween. I don't think I thought that if I did I don't remember LOL. The thing I do remember is that it pretty much sucked having it on Halloween. My friends would forget my birthday and then when reminded (not by me) they would give me their left over candy that the teachers gave them in school. This is one of the main reasons I hate Candy Corn! LOL
Candy Corn: You got your main reason, are the rest of the reasons the same as Lewis Black's? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L8yuvMsvNqY&feature=related
