Stop!
May 29th, 2010Tristan from Toronto tells this tale of Canadian traffic laws:
When I was younger, I was considerably more gullible than I am now.
While driving around with a friend one afternoon, I was told by him that a little-known law in Canada was that stop signs with white borders were optional. Having never actually stopped to really look at the borders on stop signs before, I believed him.
I started running stop signs that I now believed to be "optional." It was only after I was stopped by a police officer and laughed at that I realized my friend was pulling my leg.
