When I was seven, I seriously thought I could travel to Luke Skywalker's galaxy and be a Jedi with him when I grew up.

Well, to be honest, that's not really an example of being stupid as a kid. A lot of us who grew up in my hometown used to really believe this sort of thing too. And it finally stopped being real to all of us around fifth or sixth grade, when puberty hit. So the original poster shouldn't feel bad or foolish for this.
